The cover of the book drew me in, but the story kept me reading. This book was lent to me by a friend, and I have to say that it was quite and enjoyable read. The characters were well thought out and the story flowed smoothly. It was a bit longer than I am used to, but it was a welcome change. I have read more from this author, and look forward to more.

K’Anne knocks it out of the ball park. I love a swashbuckling good tale. This has all the earmarks of that. With the damsel in distress and the complex captain who rescues her from a life of horror. I’d recommend this for an afternoon read. I didn’t put it down until I was done.

I really enjoyed this story. I was surprised by that as I would not normally read this type of book. I am impatiently waiting for the next one lol
This is worth an afternoon read. Enjoy
We did something a little different on this one, I won’t tell you what, I’ll just let you go and find out for yourself whether it is the paperback or the e-book…I do hope you enjoy this FIRST in the series and will enjoy the SECOND, due out this Spring, as much!  ~K’Anne

Lady Claire Von Hagen was en route to the island of Baleniesia, in the Caribbean, to meet the man her father had dictated she would marry. Lord Von Hagen, Governor of Baleniesia, ruled his island and his daughter with an iron fist, and he had determined that marriage to the distasteful, but wealthy and titled, Sir Edmund Fitzhugh, would be most advantageous. Lady Claire was sailing to Baleniesia to submit to marriage when her ship was captured by pirates. Her abductor, a pirate Captain known as Black Betty, had other plans for Lady Claire.

Claire had never experienced love of any kind, and she had certainly never conceived of the things that went on between two women. Black Betty taught her things that surprised her, and the freedom she experiences with this woman, and their developing love, capture Claire’s heart. From the islands of the Caribbean to the shores of Canada, and on from there to the continent of Africa and the Orient… together they experience things both had only dreamt about.

Will they survive the dangers of the high seas and the first years of a relationship that neither expected to find?

I am so glad to hear that there is continuing saga of Tina and Claire. I was so disappointed with the ending of Pirated Love. I just knew there had to be more. Have read several of your books and have enjoyed them all. Now that I know there is a sequel to Pirated Love, I am once again. A happy reader. 😄👏

Yes and I made SURE that at the end of the paperback and the e-book that it read that it continued (or it would have been far too long) and still people missed that…hope you enjoy it when it comes out. Please leave a review, it helps enormously. Thank you for reading my books!

I’m tentatively outlining a third book as well…who knows, this could be the beginning of a pirate series!

      • Carol Cooper says:

Unfortunately, in the ebook version, it only says “The End” after Tina walks out. Guess that is why I was left feeling like there has to be more. I envisioned Claire running after Tina screaming at her, “Where have you been?” Tina replying, “It sure didn’t take you long to replace me. What happened to your undying love?”

Claire: “I thought you were dead. It has been over a month since the storm passed. I’m without money, the rent on this place is due. I tried finding a job but the only offer I got was from the local whore house. I’ve never been on my own, Tina. I took the only option I had left. Why didn’t you at least send word or send for me? Or, are your ships so important that you didn’t even give me a second thought?

Now, that there is a second book coming, I can let go of my fantasy. Just so you know, I’m a loyal fan. I read lesbian novelists exclusively. I figure after years of reading straight authors, the least I can do is support my sisters.

        Thank you for responding.
